The Everyday Strength Method

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the Everyday Strength Method for?
It’s designed for adults who want everyday movements such as standing up, reaching, carrying, and getting closer to the floor; to feel stronger and more manageable. You don’t need to be athletic or flexible to begin.
Do I need to be flexible?
No. Flexibility is not a prerequisite. You’ll work with the range of motion you have today while gradually building strength, mobility, balance, and coordination.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes. The movements can be adjusted to meet your current abilities, and a chair-supported version of the floor work is included. You’re encouraged to move at your own pace, use a smaller range of motion, and pause whenever you need to.
What if I can’t kneel or comfortably bear weight on my knees?
A chair-supported version of the floor work is included for anyone who cannot comfortably kneel or bear weight through their knees or other joints. The chair takes the place of the floor, allowing you to explore the movement without kneeling.
How long are the videos?
The Everyday Strength Method is delivered across three short videos combining simple teaching with practical movement. You can move through them at your own pace and revisit them whenever you’d like.
Do I need any special equipment?
You’ll need a sturdy chair and yoga blocks. If you don’t have yoga blocks, you can use a couple of sturdy books or another stable household item of a similar height.
